Yesterday my long time shooting buddy asked if I could look at some dead trees where he rents an apartment. I said sure. When I got there I said lets go get a closer look. When we got back to the trees, I saw a yellow blob covered with Honeysuckle. Walking over to look at it I tripped on something, pulled more vines back and it was angle iron track. Followed the track to an angle iron tower with a plastic wheel barrow bucket covering it. Looked under it, turned out to be a band saw mill. I asked what else was under all the vines and he pointed to one pile and said a Model A chassis, and behind the tractor, and said a 1960's Iso Revolta. I had to do a search, never heard of an Iso. Turned out it's an Italian sports car with a Corvette 427 in it. After coming down from a junk hunters high, he introduced me to his landlord, and told him I was interested in his old tractor. The landlord said he called a scrap guy to come get it, but scrap is so low he never came. I think he will give me the tractor. I'd happily give him scrap value for it. The tractor is yellow like an industrial, 4 cylinder gas, FEL and 3 point. Looks a little like my old Ford 641, kind of squat and rounded. A little bigger, at least the size of my Massey 135. The bucket was set down when parked, so the rods on the cylinders are collapsed, and the little that is showing is bright chrome, no rust. We talked about so much stuff I forgot to ask what year and model it was? Sent my buddy a text to get the details for me. Only bad thing is it looks like a big limb fell across the hood and bent it down to the engine. As soon as I can I'll get some pics posted. From the poor description, any guess what this tractor might be? I was trying to find some possible models to look up on Tractor Data to see pics. Thanks, Joe.
