IH TD17 question

So #1 is this a 12 volt system with 2 6 volt batteries or a 12 volt system with 2 12 volt batteries??
#2 how hard is it to remove the injectors so as to check for water in the cylinders and or add ATF so as to free up sticking rings. ??
From what the guy said this is a true diesel not like the TD6 where it starts on gas and then switch to gas right?
How hard is it to find parts??
Thanks

No info on a 17. if a conventional diesel, it will match either a US IHC diesel engine, or a British based engine found in a wheeled tractor. If it is a TD18, it is massive, and will be gas start/diesel run. Pull the spark plugs and put it the start mode with the lever to open the decompression valves. Jim
Some history.

Old, it's probably a TD7, which would have a 4 cyl diesel. Earlier versions used an IH engine, later ones used a Cummins 4B or 4BT, I believe.
