I had a slow drip from the threads of the petcock that is at the bottom of the gas tank.....what can I use to seal the 3/4"pipe plug ? the threads are clean and was thinking something like JB weld or maybe the yellow pipe thread tape for natural gas but would rather ask someone and get it right the first time and not have to redo it? Thanks

Is that permatex number 2 the non hardening type ? or does it set up and get hard...and gas doesnt leak if its never gets hard?....that would be easy as I have some of that here

(quoted from post at 05:36:21 06/14/19) GASOILA is the product you want to use. It is a pipe dope especially for fuel and hydraulic applications.

I found mine in the fuel pump/gas can aisle at Tractor Supply.

Thats the the good stuff actually approved for fuel use
