Hello, a friend of mine has an issue with the rear
end of his 460 and hasn?t torn it down yet but we
were wondering how much it has in common with a
300/350 rear end. 460 parts are hard to come by
around here. Suspecting some kind of issue with
the final drives. Thanks, Sam

Some might interchange, but do not do it. 460s had a recall and a stronger bearing set was specified. Product No: 529427R91 is the roller bearing replacing the original ball bearing on the inner axle. D Slater or Pete 23 may know of more facts. Jim

Farmall model? If so if you find a 6 digit number ending in R1 that starts with 374 on bull gears, bull pinion retainers and differential carriers don't mix with other numbers. All transmission gears could work or part of them, what code letters are on the serial plate? Bevel gear and transmission main shaft and can work. 300 and 350 bull gears and differential can work for early models that were never updated. Farmall 460 serial 11677 up will be different than lower unless changed. Serial 11677 to 12824 could have some in between parts. One below 11677 could have parts updated to later ones or anything in between changed.

Yes, all are Farmall?s. Will find out the serial number. I think this is an early model that has been updated. Sounds like we?ll need 460 parts. Many thanks, Sam

Some 460's have M size axles and some H size. All 300-350 are H size. Other than that I don't know of a difference other than of course the 460 having hyd pump behind ta
