Farmall Super A oil

The A says it uses 5 quarts of oil but nowhere mention if an extra quart is needed for filter change. What say you Thanks

This is not an answer, but an approach:
Put in 5 quarts - run it for an hour - check oil level - add as necessary.
Make note in Op Manual.

5 quarts should fill it with a filter change. I buy Quaker Stater 10w30 in the 5 quart bottle and dump it all in.

I'm pretty sure most of the oil drains out of the filter when the tractor is shut off, so all the oil is in the pan when you check it. 5 quarts brings you up to the lower petcock, which is the correct level.
