340 Farmall Power Steering

A friend has a 340 Farmall narrow front. He wants to add power steering. Any suggestions?

Is not the front bolster casting different from a power steering set up. Meaning is not the front bolster where the hydraulics for the power steering goes to. For both wide or narrow like in the 06 series. If so then would need a donor tractor for parts would be best. Lot of parts changing needed. If it has a steering shaft type of mechanism then a car pump and resivour would work

The bolster is the same, no change needed there. The easiest way to add it is to find the Farmall 340 power steering parts needed at a tractor salvage yard. I`m going from memory here, but this is a list of what is needed. 1) orbital steering motor, 2) steering shaft between orbital motor and front of bolster, 3) power steering priority valve/regulator 4) (2) hydraulic lines. Call around, you never know when these yards get a donor tractor in.
