240 2pt back blade

I'm picking up an IH 240 with 2pt back blade in a few weeks. Don't need the blade so will probably sell it. any idea of the value? Is this 2pt the
same as the larger tractors?

The points can be made fatter top to bottom and tack welded in place along the bottom of each point (1/2" I think) but if used behind a 30 hp tractor could be tore up pretty easily. Jim

Are you saying that the fast hitch system on the 240 is the smaller type hitch like used on the farmall C?

No, it is the large point style. By the 240 IH was over the whole small-point-large-point-what's-the-point thing...

IH made the No. 1 backfill blade in both the small or large point version. I cant see if this particular blade is using the 1/2" filler plates or not. If this is a large point blade, figure $325- $375 give or take. Smaller point a little less $$.
