I was wondering what the degrees of advance in the distributor of a 350 and 450 farmall diesel if any and would that fit on a farmall m it looks the same ?

THANKS for any help out there
Robertw .

The diesel Distributor turns the opposite direction and has either no advance, or 5 degrees. Housing and cap may interchange, but not much else. Jim

350 and 300 gas have 22 degree total advance and can work on a M. 350 diesel didn't have a distributor. H, SM, 400 and 450 other than diesel and some other tractors can work. Original M and H had 40 degree advance, Most supers 30. 400 and 450 25. Distillate and kerosene distributors in same models can have different. Some changed when increased power piston and sleeve sets installed.

I thought that a diesel turned the other direction but i was't sure.

THANKS to you D SLATER and you JIM and others from a early post you guys have been vary help full.

It was during the production of the Farmall 450 Diesel when IH quit putting a 8 degree advance in the battery ignition distributor. Made them start worse than before, or I should say not run up decent when they fired off.
