Coil Bracket

Aftermarket 6 volt coils are too big for the original mounting bracket for my 1955 Farmall 100. Is there a solution or am I stuck with using an aftermarket bracket that comes with those coils?

They are not a fit, so use the new bracket. Often only one bolt will align. Re drill, or file out the slot. Jim

On those, I have taken a small piece of steel "flat" and drilled 4 holes, staggering the holes that fit the casting and the holes that fit the coil, then welded in 2 short studs to attach the coil to the bracket.

Looks OEM if done neatly and painted.
