Spark plug wires

I've been trying to get rid of a skip on my IH 184 Cub mower that develops after about 20 minutes of mowing.Today I put on new plug wires and the problem went away. My question is the wires I bought from this site are carbon centers, not copper. I didn't see a description when I bought them. I can't remember what all has been said about them on this website. The tractor has a distributor and I'm thinking people have recommended staying away from them with a mag. Does anyone see a problem with this type of plug wire on my tractor.

They will be fine. Plain copper (stranded) wires are best with a Mag ignition. Resistor wires like yours are fine with a coil (Kettering design) ignition. Electronic ignition systems often require resistor wires. Magnetic suppression wires are copper wires wound into a tight spiral on kevlar core. The wire has low resistance but does not allow radio interference like stranded copper can. Jim
