Farmall 560 Power steering issue

I have a 62 Farmall 560 that we had to replace an outer rear axle bearing and housing and shaft, so we drained the fluid from the body of the the tractor(which was very clean) removed the left rear housing bull gear and repaired and replaced everything. All was good except I now have no power steering to turn to the right turning left works so so. The rear hydrolics also whine now while raising and lowering. I filled the hydraulics reservoir until the fluid ran out of the fluid level plug on the left side of the tractor, with regular hydraulic oil is that the correct oil?
Thank you for your help

Regular hydraulic oil is not correct. It needs to be Hytran (IH), or Hyguard (John Deere)
specification oil. These are important for viscosity, gear drive extreme pressure additives, and
anti foaming ingredients, among others that may not be in plain hydraulic oil. The importance of
this information cannot be overstated, the current oil can cause massive internal failure in gears
and bearings. Clerks in a tractor store are not authority on this. labeling on the can is. To get
the air out,it will probably be necessary to put about 15 psi (no more) in the fill hole and turn
the steering and work the hitch (or loader, or what ever) to purge the air out. Jim

One thing Jim didn't mention about the IH Hytran or JD HyGard oil, is to NOT MIX IT. HYTRAN absorbs
water, 1 or 2%, I've read both numbers, JD's HyGard repels water, separates it out, which can let
rusting occur at the bottom of gearboxes.

HyTran is the recommended oil for TA equipped tractors like your 560. Costs more, but it's better.

Well not being there myself and looking so lets start off with like Jiom siad get the correct oil , next get a couple new hyd filters and gskt. then get atleast and I T manual and read it and understand your hyd. system. More then once due to and axle bearing failure filings have made there way into the pressure reg and or orface and messed up0 a system , happened to me with my first 460 and it was a pain to get that one cleaned up as i had problems for a long time with that one even after we took the top deck off pulled the PTO and steam cleaned the rear end placed two cow magnets in the rea end housing and one in the filer housing and a case of hyd. filter changes three fluid changes refiltered the oil she would hang the pressure reg valve and when that happened it would bring that tractor to her knees and kill her dead.

Thank you very much for you help on this. I have been doing a google search for the IH Hy-Tran and I can only come up with this from CASE https://partstore.caseih.com/us/RuslerPueblo/hy-tran-ultraction-transmission-oil-5-gallons-p2405843.html
Is this the right oil?

If not where is the best place to buy the IH Hy-Tran oil?

Thanks Jon
