Our ih 1586 high side ta quit working. It just stopped from one day to the next. Low works fine. Couple things I have done is replace the fluid and
filter and I put all new o-rings, gaskets, and springs in the mcv. So after doing that the high side is still not working. One thing I did was push the
breaks while in high and the tractor stopped moving without dragging down the engine. With the ta in low if I hit the breaks I drag the engine right
down.
I know a complete new ta might be needed but is there anything I should check before I spend 5-7k To fix it. Also steering and breaks work fine. No
issues. When I shift the ta lever I do not see the light on the dash come on. I was thinking that was supposed come on if I was in between high and
low on the ta. Any suggestions before I call someone to tear it down would be reall appreciated.
