ignition wire on a Farmall 100

I need to replace the wire from the switch to the coil on my Farmall 100 and was wondering what gauge of wire should I use. Its still a 6v tractor.

(quoted from post at 09:44:37 05/11/19) I use 12ga

That should do it!

Typically, ignition current is under 4 Amps, and 12 GA wire is rated for 20 Amps!

Charlie even though coil current is only around 4 amps and the wire run is pretty short (even 16 gauge would suffice), I often used 12 Gauge just because it was handy and the bigger the wire the less the voltage drop. Theres also just the sronger mechanical strength of bigger wiring (such as 12 or 14) which is why its good to use.
