1586 mcv rebuild

Our 1586 ta high side just quit working from one day to the next. I talked to the shop and they suggested putting in a new o-ring,gasket, spring set on
the mcv valve. I have all the o-rings and springs just about replaced but I have a question about what o-ring goes in the tractor frame. There is a port
that has a grove for a o-ring but I can?t tell from the agparts Ltd diagram what size that one is supposed to be. Just looking for the right one so I can
put it back together and see if this fixes my problem. Also do I need to take any precautions in making sure there is oil in the valve body before starting
up the machine?

I always asked parts man for that five digit O ring and he knew what I was talking about. in other words, IH had problems blowing that ring and superceded it with a harder tougher o ring. Might not be in kit.

I would do a air test for excessive leakage with mcv off. Only in lower two tubes though. One is direct and other ta . Top is lube and don't apply high pressure in that tube.
