first start of season IH666

Sounded good though I would let it idle when first started till the oil pressure is up to reduce internal wear. Yes steering can sometimes hold out till the prime is made in the pump for the steering. Next time I would start and warm up prior to servicing then restart as soon as it is done to help with reducing priming issues if the pump is getting worn like a 40-50 year old tractor may have.

caterpillar guy, ok thanks. I did cut out two minutes of the video of the tractor sitting there running, so it's wasn't so long and boring. Don't know if that would make the idle long enough then? I have all the filters ready for the next service, so I'm planning on doing that this fall instead of next spring. I'll run it before and after the service.
