So I am getting ready to put some steel wheels on my 560 rears. My first thought was to sell the cast parts but after looking at the new rims the wheel weights will not bolt up, I know my bad. Has any one put the old cast wheels on first with the concave side in and then after the rims are mounted on the hubs slide them back out and tighten them down for weight? Just wondering weight is nice and not selling them in case I don't like the arrangement sounds like a good move.

If you want the weight just use the cast centers and forget about the disc wheels. I have not seen what you are talking about done, though I suppose you could.

They did use a different wheel weight, on the steel wheel, but they were available, and they were a split weight.

OK so I forgot to mention some things. I couldn't find tires for the one 560 three years ago so I found some 18.4x38 and some double bevel dual rims and put them on. Well It held the tractor up great but it made it so tall I barely get under my garage door. I had bought dual hubs on an auction two years ago thinking I'd like to put steel wheels and 34 inch tires on it because 15.5 are scarce here and very pricey. found a set of 34s on auction and put in a low bid and got them. Now I am sorting it out. The rims have only three hole for weights so I am not going to be putting my weights on them. Come to find out the rims are 18 inches wide with 18.4 on thinking it will drop the tractor around two inches. I am painting them right now as they look terrible. I was contemplating where I was going to hide the cast wheels as I really do not have a big garage and there is already two 560 and a 400 in there and those wheel castings don't sell well here. I was thinking of putting the wheels on first and then sliding them back out close to the steel rim after that was put into place so part of the cast will be inside the steel wheel. I have seen pictures of Ms with two sets of cast wheels on them as duals. It does look different I agree. Since I do not really have a plan what I am going to do with the tractors it may be a ok option.(was thinking of plow days, but am not organized well enough to get them there.)The current wheels have the T rail and other dual attachment points so I was thinking it would not be a huge change. Looking for thought and opinions.
