Hello all! Well, the memorial H project is well underway. I thought I would share some photos of the teardown so far. I also have included a link to the teardown video on YouTube. Upon first glance, I know I will need the following:

1) Fuel tank
2) Starting tank
3) Clutch parts/drive shaft/Pilot bearing
4) Gasket Set
5) Governor may need attention
6) Seat & suspension parts
7) Headlights
8) Unknown internal parts - TBD

I hope you enjoy!

The Teardown Video

That 4-bolt flex coupler thing on the end of the drive shaft can be re-installed two ways; with the minimum space in there, in which case the drive shaft will NOT be fitting into the pilot bearing, in which case the drive shaft will whip around loose and destroy things, or with the MAXIMUM space in there, in which case the drive shaft WILL fit into the pilot bearing. Install it with the MAXIMUM space in there.

Thanks for posting these progress photos. I am anxiously awaiting your rebuild of the steering system, as I have an H with a wobbling narrow front end that I can't seem to figure out how to fix.

A Farmall H is one of the most simple tractors to restore. I just love those little tractors. I have two of them, one with power steering with a frt. end that wobbles.

Yes sir, I remember that from when I rebuilt my M. That can really be a noisy thing if you get that flex plate in there incorrectly. Thanks for the reminder!

The famous death wobble. Got to love it! I will definitely be taking care of that issue on this tractor. When I lifted the front end, I also noticed that the lower pedestal had a couple loose nuts, even! This tractor, although it runs pretty good, has had a little bit of neglect over the years!
