Mid 40's Farmall H Tire recommendations (West Coast)

I've been researching tire options for my new 1947 H tractor purchase, my right side tires appear to be original with the interlocking tread Firestone 12-38 in the back and the 'knobby' 3-rib Armstrong 6.00-16 tires in the front

I talked to Miller Tire but am hoping to save the few hundred bucks in freight and find a source in the Pacific NW or West Coast and am curious what reproduction or period-correct options people are recommending?

I put Titan brand 12.4x38 on my 1950 H. I guess if you want an original type tread design then Miller tire is about the only choice, but if you just want tires, there are many good brands out there.

When I reshod my 1944 H put Firestone 11.2-38s on the back. Make sure you are sitting down when you get the price. Used 5.5-16 tri ribs on the front, these are actually on modified rims off a Ford 3000 as I could not get original rims.

Most H's back in the day had 11(12.4)-38 tires. Very early H had 36" wheels. I think the 10(11.2)-38 were standard, but most opted for one size larger. Originals on my grandfathers 1942 H(which I still have) were 11-38.

If you can ever get a hold of an original Farmall H parts catalog, or even a reproduction, you will be amazed at the number of options for rear wheels, rims, and tire sizes. There is no such thing as a standard tire size.
