I,believe I got a M tractor,below #1 spark plug there,s a small flat surface with WPKM 29630 stamped on it with W1 stamped just under those letters@ numbers.Could somebody tell me what all this means THANKS !!

Will,
The numbers you describe are the engine serial number. From Guy Fay's Data Book this engine is from a '49 W6, the "standard" version of the M.
The standard tread tractors have a non-adjustable tread front and rear.

Will, Is your tractor a diesel? I can find no reference for the WPKM. If it is WDKM then I would say you have a McCormick Deering WD-6. Also, can't find a reference for the W1 under the under letters. "W" suffixes are mostly 3 characters. Look a liitle closer and maybe you can find another letter or number under the long one. As far as the serial number goes, your posted number would indicate a year built of 1949.//FB

With a closer look the letter P looks like its a B, making the serial # WBKM 29630,the W1 looks the same.It is gas!
