I bought a factory fast hitch for my 400 and installed it . I noticed that there is a linkage rod (ive seen in pictures) I do not have that attaches to the disk that bolt to the end of the lift shaft just above the lift cylinder. The rod I dont have or know what it does attaches to that disk and runs forward to what I dont know . Any one help me understand it better? I circled it in the pic I found on the internet

That rod was used on the 460-560 with Tel-a -depthas it hooked to the hitch valve and centered the valve and made hight changes as needed . On a 400-450 it is not used as you manually make the adjustments so you can remove that link as it is not needed.

Correct on the linkage. Many 560s have the linkage removed and the special valve replaced with a regular valve because small parts that do the equalization in the valve wear out and break.

That is not the factory fast hitch for a 400, by the way. It is the style used on the 450 (without the linkage) and 560 (with the linkage and a special valve on the tractor).
