IH 3414 Gas Tachometer

I have a IH 3414 with a gas engine. I purchased an aftermarket tachometer and tach cable to install as nothing on the dash works. I can't for the life of my find where the tach cable screws into the block. The previous owner replace the fuel tank with a nice stainless steel one but I'm afraid they tore out a bunch of stuff doing so.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I believe its a gear reduction that's an angular takeoff from the distributor drive shaft if I'm thinking about this right.

It is possible that the distributor base was changed to a "tach delete" option which has the casting boss but its not machined.
