i have a B farmall that leaks antifreeze randomly, runs out between the engine and transmission,is there a frost plug on the back side of the block? I can fill it up
and might not leak for a year. All knowledge appreciated

There is a core plug on the rear of the engine block, on the left. If it leaks, coolant will come out. They do corrode, so that is a possible source of your leak.

There are actually 2 plugs in the rear, the one on the left is in the water jacket, the one on the right is at the rear of the cam. If the one on the right leaks, it will be oil, not coolant.

Replacing either one requires splitting the engine from the torque tube.

thank you i did not want to split it right now without knowing, i was hoping there was a frost plug that will be the simplest to fix

When I picked up my A the plug in the back had rusted out and leaked. If I remember correctly Case had one for it.

Yes, they are available from a Case/IH dealer, or any good auto parts store.

They are a common dish shaped plug, same as is used on many, many engine blocks. Some call them freeze plugs, some core plugs, a very common item.
