Recently purchased a 400 and I am looking to find a 2 or 3 point hitch. Having a hard time finding one.
Wondering if any others are bolt up compatible without modification.

I just don t want to buy one that s not going to work

Thanks in advance!

Bates Equipment Bourbon Indiana. A likely source. 3 point will fit from after market. From Farmall M through 450
the 3 point will be workable. 2 point Fast Hitch will work from early or late 400 and all 450s. The early hitch
has two cylinders, one under the front and one is a lift in the rear. The later version has a marginal traction
control system that eliminates the front cylinder. I personally like the early hitch. Jim

Where are you located? Try searching Craigslist and on Facebook IH/farmall groups. I see lots of hitches for 1pt, small 2pt, and occasionally large 2pt.

I am around Detroit. I have been looking on CL and FB market place. Found some but are for other models. 300 for example.
Didn t look like it would bolt up correctly from the pictures.
I see a lot of talk about Saginaw hitches and was hoping to find one.

You probably won't like the numbers they give you for prices, but if you want it NOW, you'll have to deal with one of those large salvage yards and pay whatever they're asking.

Otherwise you have to keep looking. These aren't things that come up for sale every day, so looking once and giving up is not an effective method. You need to keep looking, every day, every where until you find it. Then you need to have cash in your pocket and be ready to JUMP the second you see what you're looking for.

Thank you all for the great info.
I will continue to search and not be in a rush.
I found some both high priced as well as decent.

I just didn't know which models were interchangeable in order to help with the search.
