Hi Guys, where could I find a hand crank for a '50 DC? Both of my DC's have starters but I thought it would neat to have on hand. No pun intended!!!!!!!!! Thanks.........Kenny

I never saw a "crank" for a truck in that era. In fact our Fords in that era did not have a fly wheel adaptor to allow a crank to be used. The crank hole was maintained in the grill for styling but again I never saw a crank used . . . and I do remember that era well. We did use them on tractors because the 6 volt batteries would leak down when sitting and be to soft to start first thing in the morning. After the engine was warm the battery would work just fine. Trucks did not sit long enough to allow the battery to leak down. If it was too weak to turn the motor over it most likely needed to be replaced.

pretty sure he is referring to a DC Case tractor, and yes they have hand cranks. and this is a tractor forum.

I am not familiar with a Farmall DC, but I made a nice crank for our C, I use it every once in awhile. After sitting all
winter the battery is a little low, but it starts right up with the crank.
