Roosa Pump leaking

I have an IH 806 with a Roosa Master pump. It has been setting inside a building with fuel shutoff since 10/18. Started it this morning and it started a pretty good leak, actually a small stream, out of the bottom of the large nut that has the adjustable bolt and nut in it at the bottom part of injector pump. Never leaked prior today. Sorry I don't know what it's called. See photo. I tried to tighten it a bit but still leaked. So I loosened it up a 1/4 turn then retightened, still leaks. I thought I would screw it out and see what it was but it screws several turns freely then seems to start to bind up. So I screwed it back in and figured I would ask you YT'rs for help. Is it something I can screw out and replace an O ring or gasket. Or is there some behind it that will mess up the pump if I remove it? Any Ideas would be welcome. Thanks funtwohunt

That area seldom leaks, sure it's not leaking higher up and then running down to the lowest point? Maybe seeping past the throttle shaft? That's more common. There are O rings on the advance adjusting screw and the large plug. The screw locknut O ring can be changed on engine, the advance piston has to come out for the large plug O rings to be changed.

That advance piston plug is sealed with an O-ring, and has a suggested torque, so don't ralph on it, O-ring needs to be replaced.

If I get a minute, I'll grab the IH service manual and post more details a bit later.

Ill go look closer because the throttle shaft has been dripping out the front for a awhile. Might be really leaking out the rear side. Thanks

If the governor flex ring is starting to fail, the internal housing pressure will rise and fuel leaks will show up soon after, especially at the throttle shaft area. Just finished testing an Oliver 1950T pump that came in for the same trouble.

I looked at the pump again and it definately leaking from the advanced timing plug. Will investigate the other seal too.
