Farmall F-20 Clutch Throw Out Bearing

Has anyone found a replacement for the Farmall F-20 throw-out bearing? Rice equipment does not have it listed.

Original P/N 13157D

Would a Farmall M, SUPER M or MTA throw-out work or fit in the release sleeve?

Call Rice. They may have some on a shelf somewhere or may know a source. They have always been helpful.

there is so many of those tractors sitting around should be able to find a used one. as long as its greased it will last a life time. 10-20, and w-30 should be the same brg. I would think. the M brg. is a totally diff. brg.

Try J.P.Tractor salvage might have one. They are an junkyard with old parts new parts and used equipment. All for sale.

FWIW, info I have says F20 TO bearing is #13156D, which is a New Departure CT-38 bearing.

Probably still "unobtainium", but gives you another number to search for.

My info says 13157D is different and fits F12, etc.???????????

I want to thank all who have responded. What I was hoping for is that someone had already done the legwork and found a sealed replacement for the 13157D Throw out bearing. I'd like to stop the grease from slobbering up the inside of the clutch housing over the years.

Using the IH INDEX OF PART NUMBERS book 19-XPE,
BEARING 13157D fits the following tractors:
Parts Catalog - Tractor
TC-6 FARMALL REGULAR
TC-13 F-20 FARMALL

BEARING 13156D fits the following tractors:
Parts Catalog - Tractor
TC-6 FARMALL REGULAR
TC-10 T-20 TracTracTor
TC-11 T-40 & TD40
TC-12 " "
TC-13 F-20 FARMALL
TC-21 T-35 & TD35

Parts Catalog TC-13-A list 13157D as a replacement for 13156D.

Can you post a photo of the bearing and dimensions?

I have a catalog that lists T.O. bearings by style and dimensions, it might be possible to find a close match.

Sorry for being so slow on reply. The original bearing is a New Departure, CT 38. Instead of being supported in the center by the throw out release sleeve like the later tractors, it is supported on the outer race. Attached are some photos and the dimensions. I doubt if there is a direct match. Probably the only way to use a newer style is to modify the throw out release sleeve.
