450 hydraulics

I changed my farmall 450 bucket dump from 1 center back to two cylinders . Now it dumps very slow. Any Ideas.

I'm assuming you just ran a tee fitting
with a line to each cylinder for the hyd
oil to supply the cylinders? That's the
way to do it, just making sure it's not a
problem of overcomplicating the hyd
plumbing itself. Anyway, when you go from
one cylinder to 2 cylinders, it will be
slow, because it still has the same
amount of oil flow, but now has to share
it with both cylinders. The problem only
gets worse as the diameter of the double
cylinders get larger. Smaller cylinders
will make the bucket dump function faster
if nothing else has changed with the hyd
system itself. 2 questions, does it have
power steering, and, if it does, does the
bucket curl/dump function speed up if you
turn the steering wheel at the same time?

Some cylinders have a restricted opening that will cause them to move more slowly. Not likely the case here, but it could be a part of the problem.
