Guys. Checking fit on sheet metal before painting. Grill and gas tank has been blasted. When I got it on I sorta liked the gold rusty color of the grill. Wondering what would look like if I went with a rusty patina. ?? Or a gold or gunblue color.

It's not like it's a original restore. I'll have additional hydraulics and have a 450 motor. Do before you rake me for not painting all original I saved it from the scraper at also gave a few fully restored tractors. It may still end up all red. I'm just thinking.

My question. Anyone painted sheet metal different color? Any pics?

DO IT! I get so tired of people agonizing over what the "correct" color was supposedly meant to be in 1955. Who cares! I always wanted to paint a bow wave on my Farmall H, starting at the bottom of the front bolster, rising up to about the battery top level, then falling off. The wave would be white, with a slightly different red below. Haven't got around to it yet.

Paint it any color you like. Green, purple, blue,or any combination yoy like. It's your tractor to do as you like. A 'patina' looks nice,Clearcoat helps preserve.
