Hello I have a question for u guys have a chance to buy two old Farmall F20s guy says they are consecutive numbers they are in very nice condition and have been stored inside for atleast 20 years going to get exact years and model numbers tomorrow but are they worth anything together?

Yes they run just didn?t know what they would be worth and if they would be worth more as a pair or if the consecutive number really meant all that much. They are both old restoration pieces.

Let me take a guess? Are they in a barn in Indiana , Pa? If so I can talk to you about both of them. If they are the ones I am thinking of, I haule dthem both there about 15 years ago.

Well actually they are in between Indiana and homer city pa . But I imaginethey are the same ones you speak of what can u tell me about them ?

They belonged to Joe Daskavich. Joe was a friend and Passed away about 12 YEARS AGO. They haven't run in 12 years. His son John was living there and selling off some things and I guess he has now gotten around to trying to sell them again. They have actually been for sale now for about 15 years. I hauled the one from Butler and the other from rural valley. They were both on the contemptible side as far as starting and running, so I don't imagine they got any better. There was no major work done to them. The one was simply painted and the other one he bought restored. Joe had left a list of selling prices, but that was based on old year prices. There had been other tractors in the barn bottom? The asking price was $1500 each, but the serial number deal didn't seem to appeal to people. The days of collectors is dying quickly as the men who grew up on the farm are passing away. They are not user friendly, so guys today really want the JD's, and Kabotas. I don't know what your plans are, but I think about $400 each would be about right. I know for a fact that the one from Butler was bought for $800.

I don't think consecutive serial numbers alone would make them worth any extra. Doesn't sound like they were originally bought by the same person, at the same time, and kept together thier entire life. Not sure that would mean anything to anyone anyways.
It was probly pretty common to ship consecutive serial numbers to dealers who ordered multiple tractors at one time. Those tractors were in turn more than likely sold to people in the same area. So it wouldn't be impossible for someone to put 2 consecutives together themselves.
Now on the other hand, if the serial numbers are unique in some other way, you might have something. But I think that would be kind of unlikely.
