Super h tractors

None. The white trim was applied by farmers or paint shops to make them look a little like a 350 Farmall. Which was the firat white trimmed tractor series 350U
F350 F450 and others Jim

Hmmmmmm I think a little white makes them look good. Dad painted the grill under the Farmall emblem on his '51 M white about 1960. By 1963 the lower area of the hood and below the seam of the gas tank was white. In 1963 he had the Supet M-TA repainted with the grill white in about March, before fieldwork started, about July he had the '39 H painted that way also. Normal stock paint job with IH paint and decals was $50, with white grill was $55.

In '65 or '66 Dad had the local FFA kids repaint the '51 M, white grill to match the used '57 450 he bought spring of '64. In '68 he traded the '39 H for a Super H, summer of '68 I repainted the grill, hood, & gas tank, grill was painted white. Dad had the '51 M painted again in 2005, red grill this time, THAT will be changed!

I also like the standard 706/806 and 756/856 paint scheme with red and white, not a fan of Black stripe '66 series or Red Power all red '86-series either.

Way I look at it, if it's YOUR tractor paint it the way you like it. I considered repainting my SH a metallic candy apple red years ago till I priced the paint. Neighbor who is the self-proclaimed "Best Deere service tech in the Midwest USA" spent $7000 to repaint his 730-D with DuPont Imron in about 1975. That was a lot of money back then, buy a new Corvette with that much money.

I've seen a couple of Hs that were painted up like a modern, Case-IH tractor. All black with only the sheet metal painted red. I kind of liked them.
