This is a repost no rear hydraulics, no 3pt hitch. got pto, power steering, brakes, ta. maybe keyway or pump?
My book don't show how to pull pump out, what to look out for or how hard to do. Thanks Perry

First check filter and oil level. If filter just got changed over fill by 5 gallon. If that does not fix then the pump you want is on the left side behind the step. It is a 5 sided looking casting. With tractor running loosen the plug in the middle of the casting use caution as that has the pump pressure there. If you get oil under pressure by loosening tighten back up and check for remotes and 3pt. If no pressure that is where you would pull the pump. It is mounted on the back of that casting. The 4 bolts in the middle hold the pump the ones around the sides remove the casting.

If you have none of the above then your problem is NOT the hyd. pumps . If you have rear hyd but no steering then the problem there could be several things , if you have steering and no rear then the problem once again can be several things , BUT when you have no steering and no T/A no rear hitch and no PTo then that is a problem at the pressure plate and to solve that problem you will need to split the tractor at the bell housing and replace the clutch , pressure plate , and the IDPTO input shaft along with all seals and bearings . And when you replace the clutch you must reface the flywheel.

thanks caterpillar guy I did all of that stuff I do have power steering, brakes, ta and pto NO 3PT or rear auxiliary valves at rear. can that pump be rebuilt.

tractor vet I do not have 3pt or rear auxiliary vales. replaced the filter put 5 more gal over full. everything else works

I have never tired it. By the time I tried to, I still wound up putting a new pump in, so quit trying to bother. I did one time have the nut come off the pump shaft and the gear and key moved so it quit working. New nut and locktite solved the problem that time.

Then if everything ahead is working the drain the rearend and pull the pump , Now like C G said the gear or key may have either sheared or came off . And NO you yourself can not rebuild the pump , you can replace the pump , owning a tractor is a pay to play deal.

Thanks I am going to pull it out on Saturday and see. I found a new one if I need it for $300.00. Thanks for the help c g and t v

When installing the pump, pull filter from other side so you can install the short suction tube from pump to filter, properly. Many people wreck the seal in filter housing doing it wrong.
