TA Question for 300U

I am restoring a 1955 International 300 Utility with a torque amplifier and independent PTO.

How much HyTran oil should be added to the torque amplifier compartment on a 1955 International 300 utility.

I have been told about a gallon by some and no oil should be added by others?

The compartment has Hytran in it supplied by the trans (not a pressurized system). it drains back into the trans through a hole. Assure it is fully oily when
assembled and putting some Hytran in the chamber will seek its static level. Jim

Definitely no need to add oil to the TA section special. Just fill through the fill plug on the differential housing.

That helps explain why I couldn't find any info in the manuals I have.

This has been an experience restoring this tractor...especially the Thompson hydraulic pump.
