Farmall 460 Axle housing question

Can anyone confirm that the entire run of 460s used the same size hole in the side of the rear case for the axle housing boss? In other words would any bare axle housing from any 460 fit any 460 rear case?

From studying the IH parts lists it appears that they used the same size inner axle bearing (ball or roller) for all 460s and only upped the outer bearing size for the 2 3/4 axle option. Is that correct?

Don't think the international models used a 2.75 axle but used the same 2.5 axle housing as a Farmall. Housings were different between 2.5 and 2.75 axles but the transmission case hole was the same for all the 460 tractors. International high utility used the same axle housings as a Farmall model. High crop tractors used a flanged axle housing. Inside bearings the same for both size axles, ball or roller. With the right axle, bearings and bearing cap the axles can be used in any 460. Even the 2.75 could be used in a international utility if the hub and wheel was changed. 2.5 axles with a sliding hub was available for the utility models.

Thanks.

I have some 2.5" utility axles and housings available that I would like to put on a 460 Farmall and concoct a forklift.
