Just put fresh batteries in it. -9f but she's been a tad harder to start this winter. Now it won't start at all. I think the park switch is flaky but I think the big issue is somewhere between batteries and starter. Do battery cables go bad?

I can't tell if the bendix is engaging. Have a listen if you like.

beside been cold i say you need a new starter of course you well smash a couple fingers replacing it.. i have one costumer his safety start switch well come loose he older so i put a push button switch on his and put it in the compartment where the fuses are so he can get it started tell i can get there

That is where a good heavy duty carbon pile load tester should be used. Check the batteries, cables, and starter draw. Or you can keep guessing.

If you were to temporarily bypass the safety switches for a test. Would give you the answer there. Then clean bright and tight for the cables. And yes cables can go bad with corrosion inside the insulation, or in where the clamps are attached. If there is room. Go for the 31 batteries with the stud top, lots less trouble with keeping them clean. Then if all else fails could pull the starter for a look see. By your video It sounds like it is more to do with connections and cold weather. Try a charger on it as you turn it over. The block heater plugged in would help immensely. And finally I think you need to look at the brushes and bushings in the starter.

I was thinking these series should crank either with it being in park, or, clutch fully depressed. However, I think your biggest problem is batteries, or cables, or the cable connections to ground. I would look at the cables, and make sure the negative/grounds are fully connected to the engine block. I am thinking the cables ground to the cab bottom, and 'jumper' over to the block. Check this stuff first. Test equipment is your friend! Mark.
