1930 Farmall brake question

Hello,
In my declining years, occasionally I'm finding it harder to remember to assemble certain items even though its only been a couple of years since I took it apart! I should of took a picture but didn't. Could someone share a couple of pics of positioning of hand brake return spring and also hand brake ratchet return spring as installed on a 1930 Farmall Regular Have a parts,overhaul and instruction manuals and no luck there or online internet images THANKS Brad
 
these are the springs on my 1929 Regular. I have a 1926 and another 1929 that don't have the handle return springs, and never noticed them on the original '29, so I learned something new today.

Well a big THANKS to (formerly ny bill)for sending a couple of pictures to assist me in the proper placement of the hand brake return spring on my 1930 Farmall Regular.

As with many times in the hobby, one answer begs another question. I see in his photos his machine has no hand brake ratchet return spring much less a hand brake ratchet to set and hold brake! I do see that his axle has the two bolts to mount the ratchet assembly on the rear axle and they appear to have some original gray paint on them so they must of came that way. An improvement form 1929 to 1930?

I still need to see how the hand brake ratchet return spring should be placed. I have sent a picture to show my set up. Again THANKS Bill

afraid I have no answer for that question. this is the left brake latch/handle on my '26 Regular, just a plate that gravity keeps down. it doesn't matter, though, because that tractor has a set of foot brakes added, so the handle isn't used at all.

probably an evolution of designs is involved.
 
Thanks for the info. Interesting how modifications appear as the line continues. Make me think the odd looking bracket that attaches from clutch shaft to rod on mine might be original. will take a picture maybe tomorrow, snowing sideways right now
