What do these IH front-end weights weigh?

If you have a bathroom scales, that would be the most accurate. Most IH weights of that design were either 75 or 100. I can't tell by the picture which those are. They look alike other than 100s are a bit larger.

They look like the smaller suitcase weights so they are about 70 lbs. Here is a picture of the weight bracket that I have on the back of my 656. A lot of people will say that there are 75 lbs but when I check them on a scale there are only 75 lbs.

Without a reference to the size of the weights, it's really hard to tell. They could be either ~70lbs or ~100lbs.

On the open market they're worth about the same amount of money if you're looking to buy them. If you can get them for $75 a weight or less, they're a good buy, but most times people think they're made of gold and want north of $100 for them.

Hanging on a Deere tractor too... Typical.

Yep, that's my little JD855. I got the weights and bracket from a friend that runs an implement salvage yard. The old IH front-end weight bracket worked out extremely well. It bolted up to a TSC or F&F drawbar, no holes needed drilling, and then just welded an upper link mast to it. The pair of holes I put in on either side of the bracket are for seasonally mounting a pair of ripper blades for deep tilling to break up the hard pan left by roto-tilling previous years. I take the weights off for ripping.

I finally was able to get a bathroom scale and the weights in the same place at the same time. The two outer ones, which look the same as the 8 inner ones, weighed in at 64lb each!
