c152 vs c153

The C152 was used in the H and my understanding is the C153 is a higher compression and RPM engine that was used in the 1950's and 1960's. The H was rated around 27 HP and the applications that used the C153 engine put out power in the 35 HP range.

(quoted from post at 02:58:46 02/14/19) C152 has dry liners or sleeves. C153 has wet liners.
Wrong on the C153, they have no liners, parent bore block. 3 different blocks available, 504 tractors have an H sized bell housing, 404 which has a bell housing similar to the 140/240 sized tractors, a couple of bolts don’t line up and the starter is on the block side. And one used in combines.

The C153 is basically an evolution of the C135.
