1486 park paw update

Well,my first post is on page two,so I will update here. We were trying to remove the hi-lo range cover, and it would only come up about 1/2". We tried everything, posted on here,etc.So-we cut a hole in the top of the housing next to the park lever. Then we could see the paw's pivot pin had worked it's way backwards, and was hitting the underside of the lip on the housing. With a bit of manipulating and prying, managed to get the pin pried forward enough to clear, and the housing came right off. We made all the repairs, and welded the hole back. All is good. Thanks to those who replied earlier. Mark.

Yep that is what i had on the 1086 , but i did not cut a hole i made a tool to fit in and drive the pin back in from the left side . That pin will not come out again .

I have to give most all the credit to my co-worker-it was his job. I just helped him find out what would not work!! Mark.
