1949 IH Cub Carb replacement

Was told I could purchase a replacement Carb for my Cub which would increase the power. Is this correct? What Carb would that be?

You can buy replacement carbs, but none of them will give you any difference in power to amount to anything if yours is in decent shape. A complete tune up, including timing, new points and condenser, adjusting valves, will do more, and cost a lot less.

A zentih will give you a little more
but not alot. Like mentioned before,
best thing you can do is give it a full
time up. Without that a zenith carb
will give you no benefit. Good
compression, good valves, are the next
thing.
