706 wedge lock

when taking the wheels off of the 706, while cleaning the wedge locks I noticed that on one side it had 3 short wedge locks and 5 taller ones, on the other side it had 2 short ones and 6 taller ones, there is about 3/4 inch difference, any Ideas ?

Been changed or lost and replaced. If there is not enough travel in the slot in the wedge it can cause the rim to squeeze out of round or to have flat spots in it depending on how they are located.

THe short ones go on the nibs on the bevel generally theirs usually at least 3 those are always tightened clear down they line up rim.Then tighten the rest even around the rim.

Two short, flat ones that go 90 degrees apart on the driving lug on the rim.
