Google is your friend!

Ag rear: 10.00x28
12.00x28

I would think what is most important is the OD, regardless of rim size.

TractorData says 12.00x28 tire was standard. The 14.9x24 was a 13x24 when the 300U was built, needed
smaller stamped steel wheel centers and rims that were probably an available option.

We had a new 300U in 1957 and rear tires were 12x28 today's tire size would be 13.6x28. Tractordata indicates 10x28.
I believe there were industrial models that had tires like yours, old tire size would have been 13x24.
Or the rims could have rusted out and someone bought a set of tires and rims from a old combine.

One piece 12 inch wide X 24 rim was offered from IH for using a 12, 13 or 14 X 24 tire and a 16 X 24 rim also for the 14 X 24 tire.
