Farmall fast hitch problem

Just put a fast hitch on my super c. Can get the hydraulic cylinder to lower but I can get it to raise. I see it has a block between the cylinder and the touch control. What does that do? Could I be the problem? And can I just run two hoses from the cylinder to the touch control and bypass that block completely? Thanks in advance.

The extra block is a check valve. Try switching the hoses on the cylinder or by the valve. Yes you can bypass it bu the reason it is there is to keep the hitch from settling down.

The block has a flow fuse in it, not a check valve. It operates when you are lower the cylinder. If you have a piece of equipment on the fast hitch, it restricts the flow so it does not fall to the ground all at once. It lets it down slowly. It raises the load at what ever the pump rpm is operating at. Might try reversing the hoses to see if that helps first. Also you may have something plugging the little orifice in the valve. After that, it could be a host of other problems. I would not bypass the block for safety reason.

did you cycle the system..a dozen or more strokes with fill cap off.......up and down.up and down..........dewy
