removed and in the process of replacing hydraulic pump. new seals. the shaft does not go through the new o-ring. not very strong, must not be strong enough to push it through. hmmm

thinking about taking a Dremel and grinding, slightly the front edge of the shaft shoulder, where it would help stretch the o-ring.

any hints. yes, add grease. did that.

Some times dropping them in hot water helps since doing that causes them to expand a bit

Bevel the shaft 1/16" no problem. Jim

brought the pump into the house and let it warm good. put a bit of oil onto the shaft and it popped right in.

Good news. You want a nice tight fit so the oil doesn't leak through.
