A trans seal

Has anyone had to repair the axle shaft into the transmission? My daughter's A leaks oil onto the brakes. I've replaced the seal to no avail. 410060ssr is
a no go. I've consulted the Timken catalog and cannot find a redi sleeve to fit, but if I use a 410059 seal and get the axle stub turned to 1.500 vs 1.531
the seal I should be ok. So tell me your experiences. Thanks guys

I have replaced some but I put the new seal in the tranny so it goes where the journal isn't worn or there is room to do two seals

I've done a few. I got the seals at a Case/IH dealer. I haven't used any sleeves on them yet.

Check the transmission oil level, the worst leaks I've encountered with those seals has been when somebody has too much oil in the transmission.

This is the second time round the apple cart on this one. I did check the oil level. It's ok, but that is definitely a good point. I'll mind that for plow days this spring. I have to get the right side apart for a new brake band, I'll look in and see how that seal is doing.

I wish I had any luck that way. I had pushed the seal in further the first time to avoid the damaged area.
I picked up a CR seal today that is good for a 1.500" shaft. We are going to turn the shaft to restore the seal surface.

I put two of them in never had one leak yet that way.I tried just one always seemed to leak lots of room to put two in. Just my 2 cents
