Cast wheel weight

Does anyone have a guess on the overall weight of steel wheels with cast centers? I have a pair and received little interest from anyone wanting to buy them. Sometime in the near future, I'll be taking them to the scrap yard. I'm curious as to approximate weight before I take them. Thanks in advance.

No guess on the weight, but those wheels should be worth easily $200 to $300. I'm guessing they fit either an H or an M?

Randy,

Where are you located and on the center casting
Does it have 9555 or 9557 part number
Let me know thanks ED

Not sure what your asking but have seen
many sets sell in the 250-300 range in the
past 10 years. Thats more then scrap
price...

My understanding is they should fit an H. They came as "extra" when I bought my F12 but the axle diameter is not correct for that tractor.

I would like to sell them rather then send them to scrap. I asked about the weight to estimate what the scrap value before deciding what to do with them.

ED, I looked tonight and do not find a casting number on them. I'm located in Western, NY.

I'll make sure my email is open if you want to follow up.

I have found there are many things one can do with extra wheel weights. Chain them on a disk for better cutting. Or if you have a tractor with a 3 point and a loader put them on the center link area of say a back blade to add extra weight. I have a wheel weight on the center link area of my Ford 841S that has a loader on it on the back blade and it helps a lot

If the hole in the centre is too big for F12, then I think they are for Farmall M. I think F12 and H have the same rear axle diameter?

Randy Hall, you are correct. The first two photos are the original centers that came with my F12 and they measure 2-5/8". The second two are the cast wheels that measure 2½". The difference in the clamps can be seen.

Jim, I can’t find a link that I can use to email you and the PM capability has been “disabled”. My email is open in my first post. Please feel free to use that. Location is Genesee County.
