5088 eng

Got a 1466 in shop needing major OH, located good used eng from 5088. What do I need to swap to make 5088 eng fit the 1466? tanks, john

400 IH engines will inter change with each other your 1466 has a 436 and the 5088 has a 436.All but the exhaust manifold will have to be changed where the turbo is placed.Should be real easy.

Thanks. Haven't "pulled trigger yet" but am sure rear eng plate will need to swap due to starter? Wonder about timing cover also? Side note, I don't like B series engs.
