Looking to get a Super C. Did all SC have 6 volt battery with positive ground ignition from factory? It is a 52 model. Thanks.

All had 6v pos ground originally. The current state of any tractor should be looked at before hooking up a new battery. If you are putting it back to original, do it. if you want to know how it was put together last, look at the following:
Does it have a generator (Long and a magnet sticks to it anywhere), or an alternator aluminum and a magnet si pretty much not going to stick to the aluminum parts. (some alternators have some exposed iron laminations)
If an alternator it is likey to be 12v negative ground. (expensive alternators can be purchased with 6v positive ground but not likely. The light bulbs will be 6v (or burned out if 6v bulbs on 12v)
The battery cable terminals that fit the posts are different size careful observation of the existing terminal size is needed. Positive is bigger than negative. The negative terminal would need to be spread way bigger to fit the positive, and the positive would (usually) not clamp tight on the negative. If hooked up backwards, an alternator, if it is, can be ruined instantly and wiring melted and set on fire. Jim
