its not who makes the paint, its the paint you pick to use. 2 part epoxy paint with out last any enamel paint. don't forget you pay for what you want.

I had very good results with paint from the local Case IH dealer on a Super AV I painted a couple of years ago. Tractor Supply sells junk. I tried some of their paint in the past and and it was such crap I vowed never to use it again.

Exactly. I tried the van Sickle, and it turned a white film just sitting inside the barn. I went with the Case IHC spray cans number B-17665 or some such, and it was a perfect match to what's sitting on the Case-IHC lot. Has kept it's color and gloss over the years. Best part is, I can touch it up no problem. I was advised to buy a 6-pack all at one time so the lot numbers matched. I did, it was good advise.

LAst couple I painted I used PPG. Don't have the number right off hand, but its a closer match to the earlier red. I have used the CIH paint, its fine and has held up OK. Its kinda dullish now after 17 - 18 years, but nothing a good wax wont fix.

Yes! And contrary to popular belief, an H CAN be painted with spray cans and result in a very nice finish.

well with out spending a half Billion dollars and the need of all kinds on special air breathing equipment and a paint booth for a show car job The stuff I H sells is decent and if a hardner is added it lasts . BUT here ya go ya need some good breathing equipment when spraying hardner . I used a lot of C/T paint on plows and disc's i would fix up and sell along with two of my old friends after a year out in the sun and weather they would fit in with real men do use pink. BUt hey on sale it was ten bucks a gallon and ya could paint two semi mount plows to a gallon and a gallon of LEADED gas as a thinner. or two trans port disc. Paint them on Monday load on Tuesday and sell on Wednesday.

I like the NAPA crossfire as well but it?s definitely higher priced then the case-ih paint which is still better paint then the TSC or Bomgraars paint!!!!

Some don't like TSC paint but this 450 was painted with TSC rattle can in 2012 and not faded. The Allis
Chalmers WD45 was done in Big R rattle can paint in early 2015. But these tractors when not being used are
kept under roof.

The painter who painted mine said to get Sherman Williams paint and I wouldn't be sorry. Paint and thinner cost about $100, but over 2 years in the weather it still looks new, just dusty.

The stuff TSC USED to sell was pretty good, the Valspar Restoration Series stuff. When they went to that "Majic" garbage, things really went downhill.

Another vote here for paint from the dealer.

The rear weights were paint with spray bomb alkyd enamel which looked nice at first but you can see how much better the Nason paint is.

I bought mine from the local case
ih dealer ih 2150 red and the nice
part is they have spray cans for
small parts or touching up and the
white is the ih cream I did add
hardner to what was sprayed with
the paint gun but not the spray
cans. This was a complete sandblast
cleanup I also used the case ih red
oxide primer accept under the white
parts for that I primed with krylon
white primer to make sure the red
didn't bleed through this 660 was
p?inted in 2012 I'm happy with the
results

WHICH Van Sickle paint did you use? Also, what primer? Just curious because I was just saying in another thread how their acrylic enamel seems to be very good paint.

I use sherman Williams on all my implementations.
They computer match the paint there . It?s a enamel.
I got new idea green,orange ,
Ih blue
And pre 1960 ih red. For the 560 and Farmal c
I use TcS magic on the Super C .

The best I think is ag specialties coatings
It?s the best brush on of any paint I?ve used, it on The Fordson f yes brushed on its thick you think and brush marks ,but come back in and hour and
you say wow , this if fantastic and I use cheap Home Depot through away brush?s ,
I can?t wait to spray it , I think will be great from the hvlp
We?ll see
