Hello,
Just curious if a later 660 diesel with 3 factory remotes, T/A and PTO is about standard?
Couldn't find a good list of options on tractor data.
Thanks

Was wanting to get it running, low compression i figure, because even in summer with glow plugs we have to pull start it.
Thanks

Hmm, I would think the 3 remotes is pretty unusual, and the PTO is somewhat unusual. Remember these were used primarily in grain country to pull tillage equipment. I would expect to see maybe 1 remote.

If it was a row crop tractor 2-3 remotes would be pretty common, and PTO definitely standard.

It always strikes me that in the late 1950's IH thought tractors needed 3 remotes, but by the mid 1960's, they were back down to ONE remote, with TWO maximum.

I would say that was well optioned in the hyd dept, the guy that order that knew he was going to pull like a disk and and a set of 7 ft drill with it, and knew what he wanted !!! The TA was very common. You better talk to Diesel Tech or Pete 23, or some body like that, about the starting issue !!

2 blocks is pretty common on those tractors. If u want 3 all you do is add another block. Mine has double outlets which is handy for baling. Yes pto and ta is standard. Some even have power steering. As for the starting do u know if the glow plugs are actually working. Everything in order they start very easy
