When I bought my 350 it didn’t have a belt pulley just a block out plate. I’d like to ad one and was wondering how involved it would be to ad and would any other models fit? I’m needing to add the whole drive unit thank you

Easy as pie. Find a good pulley/drive H or W4 only . Clean it up and pregrease the bearings and gears with engine
assembly lube. Install (be sure to get the bolts with it.) Jim

Jim - my dad had a 350 diesel back in the 60's that the dealer tried to move the belt pulley assemble over to from an H we had and couldn't make it work. I was too young in those days to understand or care but now I'm curious as to why it wouldn't work. Tractor had a TA. Any reason you can think of why it wouldn't work. Maybe a mechanic that didn't know what he was doing? If you have a tractor with a TA and live PTO what would drive the belt pulley and how would you get it into gear since the clutch wouldn't be useful.

I've got a gearbox for the belt pulley that came off of a 350 farmall that I would sell. A lot more work than putting one on a H or M.

Belt pulleys drive off the transmission input shaft, same as non T/A tractors. Only difference with a T/A is the belt pulley will run slower if the T/A lever is pulled back. Memory is hazy but think the hydraulics have to be moved to install one on a 350. Shift lever is different on a 350 compared to a H and a different shifting rod was used.

Farmalls in the fifties came with a belt pulley drive gear and maybe the Farmall 460 and 560. 300 utility was the first without the drive gear on some. Similar tractors and others that didn't have room for a pulley gear box may not have them. Think ones that show up today on farmalls of that time period is because of a repair. Was cheaper at one time to repair one or buy one without the belt pulley gear if not wanted. Used to be around 100 dollars different for a unit.

T/A tractors belt pulley castings had pockets to clear bolts on the center housing. Need to make sure older ones clear.

Thanks everyone! Yea I might be interested where are you located and how much are you wanting for it?
